Beginner Resources To Learn Hacking

Also the Resources That I used to learn the basics!

If you read my previous post I told that I had wasted many months don’t know where to start, then in a telegram group I saw a really amazing “Roadmap” to get into hacking provided by the famous ethical hacker Heath Adams known as TCM (thecybermentor).

The steps in that Roadmap is really amazing… the steps are:

The Foundations:

1. Basic IT or Computer Knowledge: If you are a kid like me who loves to play and learn about computers then you may already know the basics of computers ;). else visit Professor Messer’s CompTIA A+ it is absolutely one of the best resources to learn basics of computer, or you can also learn from other resources like YouTube (everything at one place!) or blogs and etc…
2. Networking Basics: Since Networking is a vast topic u have to lean continuously so Again the Professor Messer has the CompTIA Network+ free training video playlist. and the cisco’s networking course is available for free which teaches you networking with Cisco packet tracer (a network simulator software) else you can learn from the Internet yes, there are hell lot of learning materials available there you are free to learn.
3. Learning Linux: Linux is the essential skill that you need to acquire, learning Linux is also the added advantage for any Computer job in today’s Competitive world. You can learn Basics of Linux from linuxjourney.com, and continue learning Linux in overthewire.org also Cisco Netacad has Linux courses for free.
4. Coding/Scripting: My suggestion to learn programming is to start with “C Language” but starting with “python” is also a good choice for those who feels that “programming is hard”, but understand that “without programming knowledge is harder” (Resources for C programming is mentioned below). Your First step into the World of Hacking… :

• Basics of Hacking: Here comes the Climax…actually there are two questions like what to learn? and where to learn? when it comes to basics of hacking…. ’cause there are many courses even you can get free courses in udemy but for now our TCM(who wrote the roadmap) itself has a practical ethical hacking course but you can only learn first 10hr content of his course for free :( but try checking the site ’cause few months ago I got that course for free(since it an old course they offer that for free…) If you’re lucky you can also get it for free and if you are in any hackers group in telegram you also get pirated courses link ;). OK Above are the Resources That are provided by the Roadmap even I also following the roadmap but with few changes for my convenience…

At first I successfully learned the Computer Basics, then I created an account in both TryHackMe and Hakcthebox academy.start with TryHackMe first After creating the account you can see the Modules in the Learning section according to Difficulty…

Select the Modules and join the rooms and start learning and answer the questions to complete the room. there are both free and subscription rooms you can only enroll in free rooms. This is as same for Hackthebox academy.

This is the way I’m following to learn and I finds it helpful atleast for myself… and currently I’m in the Networking basics in both TryHackme and Hackthe box.

Note: All the resources I Mentioned are only free to read means that you don’t have to pay for any of those. The Roadmap also has some Paid alternative Resources which you can go through in the Roadmap the Link is given Below.
