Haha, It’s been a while since I wrote my Last article. So, this time I come up with an interesting topic!

These Project is purely for experimental purpose! I’m not responsible for any illegal activity with the resources mentioned in this article.

aadhar

Yes, Cracking the password Aadhar Pdf!. as we all know Indians Know How Important Aadhar is for us for other country People whose wondering what is aadhar is simply, aadhar is an unique identification number or id given by Indian government to the citizens similar to SSN card of U.S.

So the aadhar can be in different forms like a physical card or a Password protected PDF. and as I know most Indians act like only they care about their privacy in Facebook and other social media apps, and carry every single personal and sensitive details like aadhar , educational certificates, licenses ,etc… in their smart phones!.

But they don’t know these details can be used against them!

In our case suppose you found a aadhar pdf file it requires a combination password to open it For ex. ( if your name is venkat and your D.O.B is something like 10–5–1995, Then the password of your aahdar pdf is VENK1995). since these passwords are unique there is no use of using common password list.

so I started digging to find some password list specifically for aadhar but there are none. and surprisingly I found a article which Mentioned “Cracking eAadhar password in 2 seconds with Maths” in which github link is provided for password list.

After spending some time on that word list , found that there are some inaccuracies like missing of above mentioned example password in the list. Even though the list is Much more efficient..

But I don’t want efficiency I want Accuracy…

accuracymeme

So I started creating my own Password list which has 100% accuracy, but…but with least efficiency… 😟 so, About the password list I created:

  1. Which has 100% accuracy.
  2. With less efficiency(really less).
  3. which has 42498768 unique passwords.
  4. which targets people born between 1940–2022.
  5. which has memory size of around 420MB.

Yes, I can hear what you are yelling at, “what 4.2 crores of password combinations are you mad?”

the answer is yes, just think of this we are In a country where people names are so different and I want no exceptions in the password combinations.

So this is how I created a password list specifically for Aadhar PDFs!. I leave the link of github repo where you can find the Specific c program file using which you can generate the password list.

github repo link: Here

You can use this password list with JohnTheRipper tool, the tutorial to use this can be find here.

And final words! I tested few aadhar PDFs… with this password list in my device it took around 45 seconds for each password hash.

Thanks for Reading! If you like the github project please leave a star 🌟.
